Dr. Fareed Kwesi Arthur holds a PhD in economics and a Professional Certificate in Organisation and Systems Development (OSD) from the Gestalt Institute ofCleveland.
He is an Organisation Development and Management Consultant with specialist interest in the development of Planning,Monitoring and Evaluation Systems, Project Appraisals, Management, leadership and Organizational capacity building.
From 2009 to 2019 he worked with the African Union Commission, Ethiopia, first as Senior Advisor on Strategic Matters and then as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Commission. Over the period had oversight responsibility for institutional capacity building, planning, monitoring and evaluation, financial management, Administration and human resource management of AUC amongst others.Before joining the AU Commission he was the Managing Consultant for Sigma Development Associates, in Ghana.
He has extensive, International experience and has worked for several prestigious local and international clients and organizations including, the Commonwealth Secretariat, German Technical Cooperation, Canadian International Development Agency, the World Bank, Danish International Development Agency, the Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Training Centre, the UK Department for International Development, the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftainship of Lesotho and several other government ministries, departments and agencies in Ghana and abroad.
